Mrs. Laura Jones of Simpson Passes

Magee, Nov 29.---Mrs. Laura Corn [Carney] Jones, 47, wife of Jim Jones, died at her home north of Magee, after a lingering illness. Burial was from the Goodwater Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The funeral was conducted by Rev. J.B. Holyfield, pastor of the Magee Methodist Church.

Mrs. Jones was the mother of nine children, all of whom, together with father, survive. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Methodist Church. Active pallbearers were: Jim Rankin, Don Burns, Doc Layton, Lester Moore, Henry Layton and Albert Layton.

Mims Williams Undertaking Department had charge of all funeral arrangements.
