Final rites for Clarence James Trivelpeice of Sterling, will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday for Zion Lutheran Church, Kearney, Nebr. Burial will follow in the Kearney Cemetery. Family viewing only.

Mr. Trivelpiece, a former Kearney, Nebr., resident,, died Thursday May 28, 1987 at a Sterling nursing home. He was 83.

He was born Nov. 19, 1903 in Cotton Mill Lake, Neb., the son of Clark Daniel and Tina Blanche Hicks Trivelpiece and lived most of his life in Kearney area, marrying Mildred J Stoltnow, Aug 12, 1925 in Kearney.

Mr. Trivelpiece was an employee of Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years, mostly as a section hand before retiring. The couple moved to Sterling in 1986.

Mr. Trivelpiece was member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Kearney.

He is survived by his wife Mildred, daughters Juanita Swafford of Artesia, N.M., Marceline Lambert of Sterling. Velma Grassmeyer of Wichita, Kansas and Joan Heinricy of Prather, California, a sister Olive Cleland of Kearney: 25 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Tennant-Hettinger Funeral is in charge of local arrangements and Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary in charge of arrangements in Kearney.
