Johnson Edward "John" Redd, 90, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Cemetery with the Rev. Jay Byham officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be directing.
Mr. Redd was a member of Weatherly Heights Baptist Church and Mason-Pinckney Lodge No. 313. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Thompson Redd.
Survivors include two sons, Allan Dewain Redd of Lake Wales, Fla., and Gerald Lee Redd of Sterling Heights, Mich.; one daughter, Carol Ann Redd of Huntsville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
