Harriet K. Andrews died Jan. 18, 1996 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was a nurse's aide at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton for many years, retiring in 1986.
Born July 21, 1930 in Brighton, Macoupin Co., IL, the daughter of Cyrus and Annie (Burroughs) Austin.
She married Herman L. Andrews June 19, 1948 in Winchester, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are a daughgter and son-in-law Linda and Scott Bartlett of East Alton, two granddaughters, April (Kevin) Howard and Abby Whiteside; five sisters, Marie Whyers (Lester) of Wood River, IL, Alice Buis (Jesse) of Jerseyville, IL, Lorene Baker (Darrell) of Peoria, IL, Georgia Wyman of Jerseyvile, IL, Alta (Robert) Acord of Brighton, IL. and two brothers, Omar Austin (Mary) of Olathe, Kansas, and Jack (Dorothy) Austin of Brighton, IL.
Preceding her in death beside her parents, two brothers, Edwin Austin of Brighton, IL and Everett Austin of Alton; three infant siblings, Leone, Robert and Thomas.
Visitation at Elias Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto, officiated by Pastor David Wagner of Liberty Christian Center in Alton.
