Moving to this area in 1950, she was manager of the East Liverpool office of McCarter Coach and Tour for nine years and charter secretary of Ohio Valley Charter Service for ten years. She was a 1950 graduate of Point Pleasant High School, former member of the Calcutta Grange and the Rainbows End Trailer Club. For many years she attended First Baptist Church in East Liverpool and in recent years she attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Calcutta.
Her husband, Willis "Bill" Drummond whom she married on Dec. 16, 1952 died on Sept.27, 2000.
Two sons: Howard D. Drummond and his wife, Theresa and Eugene "Gene" Drummond and his wife, Phyllis; one daughter: Joyce D. Warren and her husband, Ronald "Buddy"; one sister: Mary E. Jolley and her husband, Paul' fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren survive her.
Besides her parents and husband, two brothers: Everett N. McCartney, Jr and Bradford McCartney preceded her in death.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday with Rev. James Beach of First Baptist Church and Pastor Walt Weaver of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow in United Presbyterian Cemetery of Calcutta.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Tuesday, from noon until the time of service.
