She was born in Racine on April 7, 1899, to John and Anna Roeschen. Mrs. Pfost was a member of St. Rita's Church, Christian Ladies, and the St. Catherine's Guild.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard (Gloria) Pfost, Arthur T (Patricia) Pfost, both of Racine; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann (Winton) Wilson, Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Pfost of Pinellas Park, Florida; sisters-in-law, Emma Roeschen and Anna Roeschen of Racine; nieces, nephews and other near relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Pfost, a great-grandchild, and three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 25, at 9:30 a.m. at the Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home, and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita's Church. Reverend John D. Murphy O.S.A. will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue. Friends may call at the Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home, Main and Eighth Streets on Thursday, June 25, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with the Prayer Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Memorials to St. Rita's, appreciated.
