St. George, Utah – Milton John Snowball, age 93, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008, at his home in St. George, Utah. He was born December 6, 1914, in Evanston, Wyoming, to Allen Burt and Catherine Peart Snowball. Milton moved early in his life to Ogden, Utah, and then to Riverside, California. He served his first mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas-Louisiana Mission for 28 months from 1934 to 1936. After returning from his mission, he married Donna Rasmussen on May 16, 1939, in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple.

Milton was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of his life. He served in many callings in the church including: Bishop, Stake Patriarch, and Temple Sealer. His last four missions were served with Donna in the Washington DC Temple Visitors Center, the Seattle Washington Temple, the Sidney Australia Temple, and in the Salt Lake Family History Mission. He was always pleased to serve others.

Surviving family members include: two daughters, Darla R. (Larry) Walker of Clearfield, UT; Karen R. (Mikel) Knudsen of St. George, UT; two sons, M. Wendell (Becky) Snowball of Kaysville, UT; David J (Mary Ann) Snowball of Washington, UT; 23 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, his parents, and all of his twelve siblings, one daughter, Claudia (Boyd) Penz; two grandchildren, Leland Biddulph and Mark Snowball.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Little Valley Stake Center. Interment will be at the St. George City Cemetery, 750 East 100 South.
