A.N. Dahl, 66 Buried Saturday

Military services were held Saturday afternoon for Andrew Nissen Dahl, born at Verdi, on December 21, 1888. Andrew, the son of Andrew Nissen Dahl, Sr. and Dorothea Marie Dahl, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 2nd, 1954, from a heart condition. He attained the age of 65 years, 10 months, and two days.

Services were conducted from the home and the Diamond Lake Lutheran church, with interment in Diamond Lake cemetery. Rev. Walter Brown officiated at the services. Songs were sung by Mrs. Harold Krog, Mrs. Burton Hanson, Arlene Hanson, Mrs. Harold Faaborg, Myrna Kjergaard and Mrs. Einer Kjergaard. Pallbearers were Herman Karberg, Henry Black, Sigurd Nielsen, Chris Simonsen, Art Hanson, John Krog.

Andrew Dahl moved with his parents from Verdi to Diamond Lake Township at the age of two years, where he grew to young manhood. He entered the armed servies in 1917, received overseas duty and was wounded in action. On June 29, 1921, he was married to Vendela Aronson, they resided on the home farm in Diamond Lake until moving to Lake Benton in 1950.

To this union three children were born, Florence of Lake Benton, Mrs. Lyle Krause (Edna) of Marengo, Ill. and Elmo of the armed services.

He is survived by his widow, three children and four grandcildren; two brothers, Jens of Lake Benton, and Fred of Arco; one sister; Mrs. Harry Bridenstine (Hannah) of Des Moines, Ia., and a host of nephews, niees and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers.
