Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille M. Childs, of Carthage, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Cocklin officiating.

Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage.

Mrs. Childs, 80, died Monday, Aug. 1, at Panola General Hospital.

Born Oct. 16, 1907 in Smith County, she was the daughter of Henry and Martha Elizabeth Terry Moseley. Mrs. Childs had lived in Carthage since 1946, coming to Carthage from Henderson. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Carthage.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Elizabeth and Ervin White of Carthage, Jean and Charles Reeves of Longview; one brother: John Bates of Timpson; three sisters: Mildred Hudson of Carthage, Clarice Burns of Lake Murvaul, Margie Jolley of Porter; five grandchildren: David White of Huntsville, Debra Bagley of Beckville, Steve Reeves of New Braunfels, Sam Reeves of Austin and Scott Reeves of Houston; and two great-grandchildren: Jeremy Bagley of Beckville and Thomas White of Huntsville.
