Obituary for Horace M. Doak published in "The Arkansas Democrat" on December 30, 1962. P. 6A.
"Horace Moore Doak, 68, 6115 W. Markham, died in a Little Rock hospital yesterday. He was employed by Southern Cotton Oil Co. for 27 years. He was a member of Pulaski Heights Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge of Brinkley. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Marguerite Williams Doak; a daughter, Mrs. Robert T. Sherman of Dallas, Tex; two sisters, Mrs. A. N. Johnson of Nashville, Ark., and Mrs. Edgar Noyes of Shreveport, La., and three grandchildren. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Griffin-Leggett Chapel by Rev. Rufus T. Womble. Active pallbearers will be Joe Flynn, Charles Harwell, C.H. Botts, J. R. Laughlin, Jack Orton and Z. H. Calhoun. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park."
