It is with great honor I write this bio for 'Geri' who was a dear! I knew her as a friend and a very fascinating woman.
Geraldine was not just a mother and housewife, in my opinion, she was a career woman and every bit as successful as her husband John (who was a vice-president with Cadillac).
Geraldine grew up in Columbus Nebraska, descendant of Holland-German, and being born into a gifted musical family. The family relocated to Corpus Christi, Texas, and by 1947, Geri was enrolled at University of Texas at Austin.
Geraldine was at one time a United Airlines (UAL) airline stewardess. This is how she met her future husband John-- in the air. At one point documents show Geraldine was also a stewardess on Seaboard and Western Airlines.
She was a top 10 Realtor at Bloomfield Hills and also for the state of Michigan at one time. This was quite an achievement at which she worked very hard.
At Sedona Geri was a first on everyone's guest list, a delight at parties and friend to many. She was also an anonymous Sedona philanthropist (many deeds were not known until after she passed away).
Everyone who knew her no doubt would say she was beautiful, memorable, gracious, and personable! I remember her as a real lady-- gracious and fun. She died way too young and is deeply missed by family and friends!
