SPEER -- Lydia S. Ehnle, 90, formerly of rural Speer, died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, at Heritage Manor, where she had resided the past eight years.

Born Jan. 10, 1908, in rural Speer to Gottlob and Marie Gehrig Eberle, she married Chris Ehnle on Dec. 15, 1931. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Eldon of rural Wyoming, Dean of Wyoming, Don of Dunlap and Joel of Chillicothe; two daughters, Alice Williamson of Deer Creek and Eleanor Dunn of Peoria; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bernard Eberle of Toulon and Daniel of Morton.

She was preceded in death by one son, Roland Ehnle, three brothers, seven sisters, two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 31 years, first in Princeville and later in Wyoming. She was a member of the Stark County Home Extension and was a 4-H Leader in Stark County for more than 25 years.

She attended the former Speer Congregational Church.
