Mrs. Cordia Newman, Stamping Ground - Services for Mrs. Cordia C. Newman, 97, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lewis Edna Hosley, Ninevah Rd, after a short illness, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cassity Funeral Home, Stamping Ground.
Rev. Darrell Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in the Switzer Cemetery, Frankfort.
She was the daughter of the late Cordia Buffin and the late Wister Baldwin, and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons George and Earl Newman, Scott Co; one daughter Mrs. Lewis ( Edna) Hosley Ninevah Rd; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Newman, Franklin Co, and Thomas Newman, Scott Co.
