Virginia Louise Duncan of Hico, Texas, passed away May 14, 2010, at a Hico Care Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 17, in the Family Life Center at the First United Methodist Church of Hico, with the Rev. Glenda Whitehead officiating. Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 17, at Rutledge Funeral Home in Hico. Louise was born Sept. 19, 1917, in China Spring, Texas. She was the youngest of ten siblings. She graduated from Hico High School in 1936. The next year she married O. C. "Buster" Duncan. She lived most of her adult life in Hico where she worked as a nurse at the Hico Hospital for more than 30 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hico and the Busy Bee Club of Clairette. She enjoyed being with her family, reading, arranging flowers, and listening to gospel music. She was preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; and her husband, O.C. "Buster" Duncan. Louise is survived by two sons, Wayne Duncan and wife, Ann, of Waco; Gary Duncan and wife, Georgetta, of Waco; daughter, Linda Coupland and husband, Bob, of Houston; grandchildren, Wayne, Dana, Derek, Cory, Rachel, and Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Luke; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne Duncan II, Derek Duncan, Cory Duncan, Zach Mooney, Roger Duncan, and Jess Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Moon and Melvin Hood.
