There is a military tombstone for him at Vicksburg National Cemetery, Vicksburg, Warren County, Mississippi, where he was reinterred after his remains were recovered. This cemetery was established in 1866.
There are two descriptions of his original burial location. One description is:
"2 ft south of No 610." [No 610 was another soldier, A. W. C. White.]
[A. W. C. White] Was buried 8 1/4 miles west of Raymond Hinds Co Miss 1 3/4 miles east of forks of Bolton & Raymond roads & yds north of [?]
The second description reads: "6 1/2 miles W Raymond, 1 3/4 miles S forks Belton & Raymond roads, Hinds Co., Miss."
