WILLIAM FRANK BERBACH age 85, passed away September 15, 2008, in Lancaster. William was born December 10, 1922, in Upland, California and grew up in the Pomona Valley where he lived for 55 years. He then resided in the Antelope Valley for 15 years and then moved to California City where he resided for 16 years. William served in the Army Air Corps during World War II where he was a Heavy Truck Driver for the 191st Engineer Battalion. While in the Air Corps he served in Guam, Okinawa, Japan and witnessed the surrender of Japanese Solders. He went on to work for many years in the Aerospace industry and retired
from Lockheed Martin in 1985. William is survived by one daughter, Catherine Brown and her husband Gerald of Rowland Heights, one son, Martin Berbach and his wife Julie of Sacramento, one sister, Clara McCrory of Colton, four grandchildren, Jillian, and Glynis Brown, and Michael and Joseph Berbach. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, 43121 70th Street West Lancaster. Arrangements by Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
