Roger G. Jackman, 87, Glasgow, died at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Guy and Bettye Price Jackman. A life-long farmer, Mr. Jackman was a member of the Barren County Cattlemen's Assn, Barren County Farm Bureau, and the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific. Survivors include his wife, Sadie Jewell; one daughter, Beth Jackman Holland and her husband, Dr Richard Holland; two grandchildren; four nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by young brother, Charlie, and sister, Lucille. Burial with military honors.
