Ollie Mae Burkholder, 95, formerly of Garrett, died Feb. 18, 1999, at Penn Knoll Village, Everett, Pa. Born April 24, 1904, in Garrett, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Susan (Frickey) Johnson. Mrs. Burkholder is survived by a son, Eugene L. Burkholder and wife Anna of Big Fork, MN; a daughter, Irene A. Hite and husband Clarence of Hyndman; two brothers, Clarence Johnson of Johnstown and John Schrock and wife Donna of Summit Mills; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. Burkholder; one daughter, one brother and four sisters. Mrs. Burkholder was a homemaker and a member of the Cumberland Grace Brethren Church. She worked for a number of years in the Meyersdale Sewing Factory. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Raymond McCoy, Cumberland Grace Brethren Church, officiating. Interment, Meyersdale Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
