Charlotte Whelan Barton, 97, of Louisville, died on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Baptist Hospital East. She was a native of Bardstown and the daughter of Pius and Margaret Simms Whelan. Her husband Robert Douglas Barton, M.D., preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children Charlotte W, Robert Douglas Jr (Anita), Rosemary, Margaret S, Elizabeth R and John David (Anita) Barton; three gandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated June 16 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinty Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Road. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
