Mrs. Edna M. Mellen 76, passed away Sept. 15, 1967 at
a Utica Hospital after a long illness. She was born on April 9, 1891 in Osceloa, N.Y. the daughter of Adelbert and Hattie Abby Keeney. On October 8, 1908 in St. John's Church of Camden she married Bernard F. Mellen, Rev. Joseph Tiernan officiated. Mr. Mellen died in 1942. She was employed for many years by the State as a practical Nurse at Broadacres Hospital, Utica N. Y. She operated a Florist Shop in Mexico. N.Y.
She is survived by one daughter Miss Elizabeth Mellen in Rome, N.Y. one sister Mrs. Edwin Roberts of Utica, N.Y. one brother George Kenney of Redfield, N.Y.
Prayer Services were held Sept. 18,1967 at 8:30 a.m. from the E.H.McDaniels Funeral Home, 47 Miner Ave., Camden, N.Y. and at 9:00 AM from St. John's Church, where a Requim High Mass was celebrated. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Wllliamstown, N.Y. Bearers were: Clinton Keeney, Clayton Keeney, Oren Keeney, Glen Keeney, Kenneth Kinney and Albert Kinney.
