Calvin S. Hunt "Cal" Calvin Spencer Hunt passed away on September 1, 2008 at his home with his loving wife by his side. After many years of pain and suffering Cal is now at peace. Cal was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Claud and Martha Hunt. He graduated from West High School and joined the Navy soon after. Upon returning from duty in Guam, he became a skilled ironworker where he worked for Union local 27 for 44 years. He married Margie Erickson and together they spent 53 wonderful years. He loved to shoot a game of pool with his sons and friends at West Valley Billiards. Cal went camping, fishing and hunting with his family until his health would no longer allow him to. Crossword puzzles became his passion along with watching the Ute's, Broncos and the Jazz games on TV. He is survived by: his caring wife, Margie; children, Martha Christensen, Calvin Jr. (Jessica), Connie Larsen, Cheryl (Glen) Driffill and Steve (Natalie); 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Marge (Tony) Fratto; sisters-in-law, Donna Smalling, Betty Erickson and Kate Kinder; brother-in-law, Willard Slater. Preceded in death by: parents; brothers, Bill, Joe, and Gene; sisters, Odessa and Loretta; sisters-in-law, Marge, Myra, Joy, Tillie and Doris; brothers-in-law, Richard, Barney, Herb, Roy, Layton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road. Friends and family may call Friday evening 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Family would like to thank Pioneer Valley Hospital, Steve and Bonnie Shaw and the Granger 15th ward for all their love and support to Cal.
