Among the Harmons claiming descent from Philip Harmon and his son Philip, who came to North Carolina about 1750, was Daniel Harmon, who while yet in Rowan County North Carolina, married Mary Elliott. Daniel and Mary Elliot Harmon were married 21 Nov 1804 in Rowan Co., North Carolina. They lived in North Carolina, then moved to Washington Daviess County, IN., as 1820 and 1830 they are listed in the Census. In 1840 and 1850 Census, we find them in Lawrence County, IL and Richland County, IL.
