MRS. BELL

VALLEY -- Mrs. Pearl Sims Bell, 95, of Valley, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000 at George H. Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Revs. Wallace Bell and Milford Willford officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfax Cemetery.

Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughter, Doris Stallings of Valley; her daughter and son-in-law, Nell and Clarence Hollar of Valley; her brother, Oliver Sims of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Kaye Stallings Goggans and Tana Hollar Weeks, both of Valley; her great-grandchildren, Bill Goggans, Betsy Goggans Inman, Virginia Ann Goggans Reed, Tabitha Sides Anglin and Toby Sides; and her great-grandchildren, Brett Goggans, Kaydie Andrews, Kendall Andrews and Joshua Anglin.

Born April 26, 1904 in Goodwater, Mrs. Bell was retired from WestPoint Pepperell where she had worked at the Fairfax Mill. She joined Fairfax Church of the Nazarene on March 21, 1932 and was the oldest member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar R. Bell; her son-in-law, William W. Stalling; and her grandson, Tony Hollar. She was the daughter of the late Susie I. Abernathy and George E. Sims.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to her church in her memory.
