The funeral of Christian Lichte was recorded in original St. Jacobi Evangelical Church records, Big Spring, MO. These records are presently, 2008, at St. Paul's UCC, Hermann, MO. Johann Lichte was the younger brother of Henry Lichte (1817-1893) and William Lichte (1820-1872).
It is possible that Christian Lichte died at Hermann, Gasconade County, MO: There is some evidence that a niece of Christian Lichte "made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Christ Lichte" circa 1875 in Hermann; however, 1880 census records indicate the Christian Lichte family lived in Montgomery County. Christian Lichte's older brother Heinrich Lichte (1817-1893) was buried in Methodist Church Cemetery, Big Spring. Older brother Wilhelm Lichte (1820-1872) was buried in Niedergerke Cemetery, Big Spring.
Son, Edward Lichte, married Emma Huenefeld 24 November 1887. Their wedding picture appears on p. 40 of A Lichte Family of Missouri.
