My GGGG-grandmother, Nancy Watson Keen(Kane) was born in 1755 and was of Scotish origin. She was widowed at a young age and then married William Dilts(1754-1823) who came from Germany. They married about 1783 in Indiana County, Pa. Nancy and William had 1 child together named Peter Dilts (1785-1856). They had 9 grandchildren from Peter's two marriages.

Nancy and William owned a farm near Georgeville, North Mahoning Township in Indiana County, Pa. William had other pursuits as well as farming. They lived the remainder of their lives in North Mahining Township.

Many of their descendants stayed and prospered in Indiana County, becoming judges, lawyers, county commissioner, farmers, hotel owners, school superintendant and deputy sheriff among other occupations.

Nancy's husband William died in 1823 and four years later Nancy died in 1827 in Georgeville, North Mahoning Township. They are laid to rest together in Gilgal United Presbyterian Cemetery in East Mahoning, Indiana County, Pa.
