May Heffern Button, the daughter of Thomas F and Sarah Rouseau Heffern, was born in St. Clair county, town of Osceola, Mo., April 11, 1878, and died in California Dec. 15, 1939, being 61 years, 8 months, and 4 days of age. In her early girlhood days she came with her parents to Hardin County and lived in the vicinity of Eldora until her marriage to Albert L. Button in June 1916. Seventeen years ago they moved to California where they were living at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, A. L. Button, and one sister, Mrs. George E. Ostheimer, Burns, Wyo., also three nieces and one nephew. The funeral was held at teh Wehrman-Andrle funeral home Friday morning December 22, 1939 at 10:00 o'clock, Rev. F. O. Hillman, pastor of the Methodist church officiating, Interment was in teh Eldora Catholic Cemetery
