Newport, NH: Annabelle Lamare, 78, of Hill Street, passed away August 10, 2008, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Annabelle was born in Canaan, NH, on October 29, 1929, the daughter of the late Christopher and Anna (Greenwood) Richardson. She was raised and educated in Newport and graduated from Towle High School in the class of 1948. She married Raymond E. Lamare and shared 53 years together until his death in May of 2003. Annabelle worked as a Telephone Operator following high school and later at Dorr Woolen and Sylvania in Newport. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and going out with friends, but most of all she loved being with her family.
Survivors include 5 sons: Richard of Newport, Ronald of Brownsville, VT, Russell and his wife, Christine, of Sunapee, Terry of Claremont, Dennis and his wife, Marion, of Lee, NH, one daughter: Joanne Champney and her husband, Don, of Newport, a brother: Lyle Richardson and his wife, Jodi, of Bradenton, FL, 5 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 1PM Saturday, August 30, 2008,the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street in Newport. Richard Wallace officiating. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home.
