Laurinda married Luther Dehotman Whitcomb, Sr. about 1833 in New York. She was mother of 8 known children.
The Whitcombs helped buy the land that is now Barnes Cemetery. Valued at $175, the land was indentured to Barnes Union Church on Sept. 28, 1883. Erastus Barnes paid $125 of the amount, and the rest was paid by Luther and Laurinda.
