Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas, widow of H. W. Thomas, of Millville, died in the Bloomsburg Hospital at 8 o'clock Saturday morning at the age of seventy-years. She entered the hospital a week ago last Wednesday but failed to rally.
She was born and reared in Snyder county but had resided in the vicinity and in Millville for half a century. An invalid for six years, she was bedfast six weeks prior to death with dropsy and heart trouble.
Surviving are a brother, John Shaffer, of Kreamer, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Musselman, of Altoona, and Mrs. Esther Roush, of Northumberland R.D.1, and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. William Hillard, of Millville.
Funeral services will be held from the Baker funeral home, Bloomsburg, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning and continued in St. Peter's union church, New Columbia. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church. The Rev. D.L. Bomboy, of Bloomsburg, Lutheran pastor, will officiate.
