Paulina Slumkowsky was born in 1885 to parents Gottfried Slumkowsky (1849-1929) and Wilhelmina Maas (1845-1904). Birth Register #035616.

On May 07, 1907 in Waterloo, Waterloo County she married John Maximillian Salm at St. Louis R. C. Church. Marriage Register #020729.

They raised a Son, Edward Charles and 3 daughters, Marie, Gertrude & Theresa. Sadly 2 sons died in infancy.

Paulina passed away at only 57 years, 11 months and 29 days of age due to Myocarditis & Severe Diabetes at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario. Death Certificate #037976.

Mrs. Pauline Salm,
wife of John M. Salm, 90 Caroline St., Waterloo, died at St. Mary's Hospital, following a lingering illness. She was in her 58th year. Born at Waterloo, Mrs. Salm attended St. Louis R.C. Church and was a member of the Christian Mothers and Catholic Women's League.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Edward, of Waterloo, three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Marie) Fischer and Mrs. Gerald (Gertrude) Schneider, Waterloo, and Mrs. Tom (Teresa) Murphy, Kitchener; one brother, Frank Slumkoski, Kitchener, and two grandchildren.
