W. J. Bell, DOB stated Dec 1846, has a CSA pension application on line in the the GA archives virtual vault. He enlisted and served with Company K of the 3rd GA regiment, Carswell's brigade. In the battle in South Carolina on Nov. 30, 1864 he received a shoulder blade wound which tore his right shoulder loose from his backbone. Proof of death on 4 Feb 1927 in Hartwell, Hart Co, Ga is included.
