Sarah Elizabeth was born about 1812 in South Carolina and died between late 1850 and mid-1852. Her death date was determined by using the 1850 Choctaw County census where she was enumerated with her husband Hardy on October 8, 1850 and the birth of Hardy's first child with his second wife. That child, Noah, was born Feb. 1853. A small headstone inscribed with "Sarah Elizabeth First Wife of Hardy Fondren" was placed in Blythe Creek Cemetery in recent years.

Sarah J. was born about 1828 and died between 1868 and 1870. Several researchers believe her maiden name was Parham, but no evidence is available at this time to support the Parham surname. Sarah J. can be found in the 1860 census with Hardy.
3) Nancy Louisa WILKINS
Nancy Louisa was born in 1815 and died in 1900. Her first husband was James Avery PARHAM who died in the 1850s. Nancy Louisa was enumerated with James Parham in the 1850 census of Winston County, Mississippi. She was enumerated, as a widow, in the 1860 census of Choctaw County, Mississippi. Nancy can be found with Hardy in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 censuses of Choctaw County.
