Gilbert B. Goff Dies from Stroke
One of best known and successful land lookers in lumber days!
Gilbert B. Goff Sr. died at his home, 635 South Washington ave, wednesday morning at 5 o'clock from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy, with which has was siezed last Saturday morning.
Deceased was 75 years of age, and had a very eventful career, being in years gone by one of the best known and most successful land lookers, operating out of Saginaw, and being conected with several prominent lumber operators in a business way.
He had lived in Edenville in later life, moving back to his old home, Saginaw, about nine years ago, and remaining here until his death. Mr. Goff is survived by two sons and a daughter, Gilbert B. Goff Jr., E. A. Goff, both of Saginaw, and Mrs Laura Kittle, of Flint.
The funeral will take place Friday afternoon at 2 O'clock from the reidence, Rev Wm. Ostrander officiating and burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Goff - The funeral of Gilbert Goff took place from the family home, 635 South Washington avenue, at 2 O'clock Friday afternoon, Rev William Ostrander officiated. There was a large delegation of Masons, from the Masonic lodge in Midland and the pallbearers were taken from that lodge.

Goff - Brother G. B. Goff died at his home in Saginaw, Michigan, Sept 5, 1911. Brother Goff united with the Seventh-Day Adventist church at Edenville some forty years ago. For several years he was firm in the message: later he became discouraged. During the past few years after giving up his active work, he was led gradually to take his stand again for the truth. He was a good to the poor, and will be missed by many who received aid at his hand.Three children, two sons and one daughter, with their families, and many realtives and friends, are left to mourn but not without hope. The funeral service was conducted by the writer. (Wm. Ostrander)
