Rev. E. T. Jean, assisted by Dr. J. E. Marion and Rev. J. S. Shults, conducted the services at Seventh Street Baptist Church at 3:30 o'clock and Moss-Service directed interment in the city cemetery.
Pallbearers were C. H. King, Toy Rogers, W. O. Buettner, Horace Wells, Hudson Baggett and John Lovelady.
Surviving are his widow Lula Robinson Batemon, one daughter Lillie Mae Batemon Buettner and two sons Melvin and Vernon Batemon.
