George Webster
George Dunn Webster, 75, of 114 Oakhurst Street, Gibsonville, Died at 6 a.m. today at the Greensboro Nursing and Convalescent Center following 12 years of declining health and one day's critical illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Arthur Davis and Sue Webster Webster and the husband of the late Zonie Randolph Webster. He was a retired employee of the Minneola Plant of Cone Mills and an Army veteran of World War I. (Sue Webster is the daughter of Isiah 'Mangum' Webster)
Survivors are his sons, Harson Webster of Rt. 1, Elon College, Arthur Webster of Danville, Va.; daughters, Mrs. Mildred Shelton of Del Rio, Tenn., Mrs. Elyvia Leonard of Thomasville, Mrs. Minnie Ruth Stalling of Summerfield, Mrs. Bessie Mae Stalling of Rt. 2, Gibsonville, Mrs. Helen Drewery of Gibsonville; half-brother, Harry Webster of Fayetteville; sister, Mrs. Ivey Murray of Fredrick, Mo. (Fredericktown) ; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Final rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Bartlett Funeral Home. The Rev. Carnet Walker, pastor of Evangelical Methodist Church in Greensboro, will officiate. Burial will be in the Gibsonville city Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
