My grandfather was born in Dent County, Missouri. He moved to Alberta with his wife Clara, sons Philip, Otus, Bernice, Gus and Jewel in 1920. Sadly he left behind an infant son Emerson who died at a month old and his 13 years old daughter who was tragically killed in an accident on the way. The family homesteaded in the St. Lina area.
