A resident of Greenwell Springs and a native of Independence, she passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008. She was 78. Visiting was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, May 24, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Zoar Baptist Church, 11848 Hooper Road, Central, on Sunday was from 1 p.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Kevin Hand and the Rev. Glenn Miers. Interment in Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Pat Romero and husband Johnie, and Linda Aaron and husband William; son, Michael Stilley; sister, Flora Murphy; a brother-in-law, Warren Stilley; 10 grandchildren, Hunter Briley, Wendy Romero-Bell, Cherie Tucker, Melanie Romero-Gus, Greg Romero, William R. "Billy" Aaron, Jennifer Leigh Hataway, LeAnn Hart, Joseph "Joe" Stilley and Lindsey Stilley; seven great-grandchildren, Haylie Tucker, Ashlyn Ducote, Brody Bell, Will Aaron, Julia Aaron, Lindy Hataway and Maggie
Hataway; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leon Stilley; parents, Daniel and Ethel Goodwin; three sisters and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Billy Aaron, Wes Hataway,
Hunter Briley, Joe Stilley, John Duplantis and Jeff Murphy. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Rayborn and Will Aaron. "Miss Lea" loved her flower garden, the Young at Heart group, her Sunday school class, and especially
her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71211.
