BOONEVILLE ‑ Verendia "Emmy" Cain Allen, 89, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a home­maker and a member of the Pentecostal church.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Jimmy Hicks officiating. Bur­ial will be in Cains Chapel Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one niece, Helen George Sumners and her husband, John, of Montgomery, Ala.; two nephews. Henry L George and his wife, Glennice, and Billy Gillespie and his wife, Jane, all of Booneville two great‑nieces. Camille Gillespie Warlick and Shea Summers; four great‑nephews, Grant Gillespie, Gre­gory George, Scott Summers and Tanner Sumners.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Walker Allen, and two sisters, Ruby Gillespie and Thelma George.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Cain, Keith Vuncannon, Scott Sumners, Gregory George, Grant Gillespie and Tanner Sumners.
