Thomas G. Dufphey of Tilden died Monday about 12 o'clock noon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Nanny Wright, at Battle Creek, where he had been ill a week. His niece, Mrs. G. Hayes, of Pennsylvania, was caring for him.
Mr. Dufphey was born March 17, 1854 at Grayson county, Virginia and came to Madison county over fifty years ago. He taught at the Fairview school near here several years.
