Stephen F. Greer Dies in Galveston
This community was shocked and grieved Saturday morning when the sad news came by wire from Galveston that Stephen F. Greer had died in that city Friday, April 10, at 5 p.m., from the effects of an operation performed for tuberculosis of the kidneys. This operation was followed by pneumonia, which resulted in his death.
The body arrived on the 5 o'clock train Saturday afternoon and was taken in charge by the W.O.W. lodge, of which Mr. Greer was a member.
However the funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
There is universal regret throughout the town and county over the death of this good citizen, who was called to his reward in the prime of life, not being over 45 years of age. Deceased has lived in this county for a number of years, living near Wrightsboro, and was liked and respected by everyone who knew him. He leaves a wife, who was with him at the end, and nine children to mourn his loss.
The mother and father of the deceased live in Elberfield Ind. The Inquirer and friends throughout the county extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved family in this, their hour of sorrow.
