Mary was born January 15, 1915 in Grand Rapids.
Mary graduated from the Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing in 1937. She married Walter Schneider on November 16, 1938.
The Schneiders lived in Saranac prior to moving to Reed City in 1950.
Mary was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, the St. Philip Rosary Alter Society, and the Reed City antique club ~ the Attic Diggers.
Mary is survived by her husband, Walter; son, Robert (Anita) of Richmond, Va.; daughters, Anne (Darold) Simpson of Saranac and Margaret (Fred) Laskowski of Grand Rapids; brother Jack Braley of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by son, James, and brother, Donald.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with the Rev. David L. Harpe officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. A scripture service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City. Friends may visit from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home.
