TWO KILLED IN INTERSTATE 40 ACCIDENT
Two people were killed Sunday and two others injured in a traffic accident in Muskogee County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Killed were Juan Nathan Hatchett, 50, and Troy W. Braxley, 46, both of Hardwick, Ga.

Troopers said they are investigating the cause of the accident.

The accident occurred on Interstate 40 at mile marker 278 at 4:52 a.m., while Hatchett was driving a 2008 Ford F250 pickup, the OHP said.

He died at the scene from trunk and internal injuries, troopers said.

Braxley was taken to Muskogee Regional Medical Center where he died from internal and trunk injuries, troopers said.

Passengers Christopher Dale Smith, 28, of Milledgeville, Ga., and Bonita Maxine Hahn, 20, of Eatonton, Ga., were taken to Saint Frances Hospital in serious condition with internal, external, trunk, arm and head injuries, OHP said.

No one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt, OHP reported.

Services for Mr. Nathan Hatchett age 50 will be held Thursday (7/3) at 6:30 PM in Williams Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Hatchett passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008. He was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County and the son of the late Margaret Ann Snow Hatchett Thompson.

Survivors include his wife Mary Frances Pound Hatchett; son, Johnathen Fernie Hatchett of Milledgeville; Father and step-mother, Bill and Marie Day Hatchett of Milledgeville; sisters, Deborah Benson and Rebecca Moore both of Milledgeville; Brothers, Winford Hatchett of Irwinton, James Hatchett of Griffin, Richard Mayfield of Gordon, Kenny Hatchett of Atlanta, Carl Hatchett, Timothy Hatchett and Thomas Hatchett all of Milledgeville; 2 step grandchildren, Victoria Jordon and Gary Jordon, Jr. both of Eatonton.

The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends Thursday from 5 PM until the service hour.
