Betty Kincaid McKinney, 80, of Salisbury, passed away Friday June 20, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. McKinney was born August 21, 1927 in Rowan County to the late Thomas and Viola Simmerson Kincaid. She was educated in the Rowan County school system and worked for Piedmont Distributors and was owner of the Friendly Pub. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Salisbury Women of the Moose, Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Aux., V.F.W. 3006 Aux., and the Amvets.
Preceding her in death was her brother Thomas Max Kincaid.
Survivors include husband Noah R."Mac" McKinney whom she married in 1945,
Nieces Tina Pickard, Tommie Jo Garner and Kitty Kincaid.
There will be a Graveside Service 3:00 pm Monday June 23, 2008 at Rowan Memorial Park with Rev. Donald Phillips officiating.
Visitation will be between 1:30-2:30 pm Monday at Lyerly Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Rowan Regional Home Health & Hospice, Salisbury, NC.
