George Bowen Allison was born William Hugh Allison son of Hugh Phillip Allison and Sarah Robards. He was born July 30, 1868 in Old Greenville, Wayne Co., MO. He appears on the 1870 Census as William Hugh age 2...but on the 1880 as George B.

George Bowen was a lawyer and was 30 on 1870 Census of St. Francois Twp., Greenville Co., MO. George Bowen was born in Illinois. His wife was Catherine age 24 b. MO.; a daughter Catherine age 4 MO and Mary C. age 3 b. MO. Two other Bowen women were in the household...possibly sisters to George Bowen. Sarah age 23 b. IL and Hannah age 16 b. TN.
George married Lottie Maude Austin on Mar 28, 1893 in Sacramento, CA and they had the following children: Sarah Ester; male twins; Miles; Grace; Ruby L.; Mary, Daniel; Nellie; George Edwin; Ida May; William Hugh; James Hall and John Reed Allison.

He died at the home of his daughter Mary in Cairo, IL.
