Charles "Charlie" Howard Freiner, Sr., 79, of Paragould died Sunday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. Charlie was born January 14, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late George Washington and Hattie McGuire Freiner. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, George W. Jr. and Robert Freiner and half brother, Jack Hill. Charlie was a retired Senior Master Sergeant from the Air Force and also served in the Navy. He served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Baltic. He was a retired steelworker from Granite City, Illinois and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, of the home; sons: Charles "Chuck" Freiner, Jr. and Donald "LB" Lee Freiner, both of Paragould; daughter, Debbie Stacey of South Roxana, Illinois; sister, Leota Rice of Granite City, Illinois; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated 10:00 AM Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens
