In Loving Memory of Oletha Raulerson Bennett

Mrs. Oletha Raulerson Bennett, age 91, of Mershon died Thursday morning at her residence following an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Pierce County.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Newell Bennett, her parents Daniel Leslie Raulerson and Ella Taylor Raulerson, a son Nelson Bennett, a sister Audrey Morris and a brother E.D. Raulerson.

Mrs. Bennett taught school for many years at the Damascus School in Bacon County and the Mershon School. She also owned and operated Oletha's Beuaty Shop in Mershon for many years.

She was a longtime active member of Antioch Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class.

A funeral service will be held 11am Saturday in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.
