Theadore A. Short, 97, of Springdale, died July 9 in a Springdale nursing home. Born Jan. 25, 1882, in Texas he was the son of George and Mary Short and the widower of Myrtle Nail Short. He was a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ and a retired rancher. He moved to Springdale in 1947 from Sanderson, Texas.
Survivors include three sons, George W. Short of Lincoln, James Short of Springdale and B.J. Short of Farmington; one daughter, Mrs. C.V. Grisham of Breckenridge, Texas; one brother, Henry Short of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sisco Funeral Chapel with James L. Neal officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rick Short, Gordon Grisham, Kenneth Short, Charlie Short, Sam Harmon and Danny Short.
