Small handmade sandstone marker. Reads "Jane Bilberry" No Dates. She was Elizabeth Jane Walker-Wilson Bilberry, 3rd wife of John Crouch/Couch Bilberry. They were married Feb 24, 1870 in cooke Co., TX. Buried next to John C. Bilberry.

Elizabeth's birthdate as listed in James Green Walker's bible. (spelled Elisabeth)Other records have her born August 31 (30th) 1835.
Elizabeth Jane WALKER, her first marriage was to William H. SEXTON in Washington Co., AR. Word of mouth from her son, Leondos Walker Bilbrey.
Per marriage license. Sept 6 1853. They were married by Rev. Thomas Leach, Tempy Leach's brother, and an Uncle of Elizabeth Jane. He was a Methodist Minister. Copy of marriage record on file. A-333 are the numbers on the page.
No children have been found from the Sexton marriage. William Sexton and Elizabeth Walker's fathers were both ministers, and good friends.

Elizabeth's brothers, William and Hillary Walker were both in Cooke County Texas in 1860.

Maggie Wilson, Susan Wilson and Martelia Bilberry were listed in the bible of James Green Walker. Someone was in touch with James Green Walker for him to have had that information, so perhaps they still were in touch with Elizabeth Jane, or perhaps her brothers.

Then second she married John Roden WILSON, ref.

By John Roden Wilson, she had Susan C. Wilson
and Margaret Roden Wilson.


Third and last she married
John Couch Bilberry (Bilbrey), State of Texas, Cooke Co., marriage license, 24 Feb., 1870. By John C. she had Martelia and Leondas Bilberry. (for some reason, Lee as he was known spelled his name Bilbrey.)
John Couch Bilberry had a large family by two other wives.

Elizabeth Jane died at the home of her daughter Maggie Peacock (Peacock, TX.) in 1913.
