Clarence Adams, 79, Dies Here
Clarence Lee Adams, 79, Edinburg Route 2, died Sunday at Bartholomew county hospital. Mr. Adams, who retired from farming in 1967, had been in ill health for three years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reed funeral home by the Rv. Arnold Adkins and the Rev. Hubert Walker. Persons may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born Oct. 22, 1892, in Bartholomew county, the son of Samuel and Lena Grab Adams. He lived his entire life in Bartholomew county and was a member of the Taylorsville United Methodist church, a veteran of the first world war, a member of the World War I veteran's club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Taylorsville Lions club.
Survivors include his wife, the former Clara May Neville, whom he married on June 10, 1931; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Van Gilder of Kokomo; and a brother, Ruey Adams, of Tampa, Fla. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
The family suggests that donations may be made to the Heart fund.
