Mother was Maria Figueiredo Chaves. Chaves is her maiden name. Maria's first husband was James Connors. They were my paternal great grandparents.

Aunt Laura's father was Antonio Clare/Clay. When he and Maria got married the name was Clare. And Aunt Laura was born Clare. Somewhere along the way it was changed to Clay.
